Winter Session Classes Still Available!

Our Winter 2012 session runs through the end of March. The following classes are still available for enrollment. Please stop by the center during our regular hours or email lemontcenterarts@gmail.com

Felt a Small Purse                 Age level: Adult 16+

Learn the ancient technique of felting and create a stylish  little purse. No experience necessary – and fun!

Dates: February 23, March 1          Time: 6-8 p.m.

Instructor: Betty Burian Kirk

Fee: $40 (plus $20/supplies due on the first day of class)

 

Drawing 101              Age level: Children 9+

This 4 week course will focus on improving drawing and rendering skills with lots of mini-drawings and drawing and shading techniques, culminating in a final, formal drawing. Designed for the beginner to intermediate students or those who wish to explore new techniques in drawing.

Dates: February 28, March 6, 13, 20    Time: 3:30-5 p.m.

Instructor: Maggie Poplawski

Fee: $60 (plus $5/supplies due on the first day of class)

 

Exploring Acrylics              Age level: Children 7+

The brush and beyond! Enhance your creativity by exploring different methods of painting. Students will apply acrylic paint to a surface using every day and found items.

Dates: March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30                            Time: 4-5 p.m.

Instructor: Carla Cardona-Tapia

Fee: $50 (plus $5/supplies due on the first day of class)

 

Still Life Study                                                    Age level: Adult 16+

Improve your drawing skill through observation. Learn new ways of “seeing” that will help your art become more realistic. Each week, we will set up a new still life and create our own image of it, using various art media, including charcoal, watercolor and oil pastel. Designed for beginner and intermediate students.

Dates: March 3, 10, 17                  Time: 10-11:30 a.m.

Instructor: Maggie Poplawski

Fee: $45 (plus $10/supplies due on the first day of class)

 

Plan Your Perennial Garden                 Age level: Adult 18+

Join gardening specialist MaryAnn Nowak in planning your perennial garden. Spring is the perfect time to organize for the flowering season. Bring a photo of your garden or general info including size, shape and sun exposure. This will provide great info for the green thumb or the novice gardener and accommodate your desired maintenance commitment.

Date: March 24                                           Time: 10 a.m.-noon

Fee: $20
