Drawing 101

Yesterday, Drawing 101 (Youth) met for the first time this Winter session. The students (and instructor, Maggie Capettini Poplawski) had a lot of fun and did four drawings, working on using their (creative) right sides of their brains and ignoring those pesky (logical) left sides of their brains! We did two blind contour drawings to help train our eyes to look at what we’re drawing. We drew a ribbon’s twists and curves to help see how lines and shapes interact. And we drew a contour line drawing of our hands – some of these are pictured below.
