Free Workshop A Success!

Thanks to all who participated in our Free Youth Workshop on Sunday, March 18th in celebration of Youth Arts Month. It was a BEAUTIFUL day and we had 15 budding young artists join us (inside!) for a really great art experience. We played a really fun (and silly) drawing game called Exquisite Corpse, which was a favorite creativity-starter for the Surrealist artists. Then we created a Pop Art painting in the style of Andy Warhol. We finished up our hour-and-a-half session with some gesture figure drawing using charcoal, which really got the kids drawing quickly and observing closely – all while having fun!
