Oven-Fired Clay Classes

Who doesn’t love clay?! We currently do not have facilities to support traditional fired ceramics instruction. However, this summer, we are offering classes for youth using oven-fired clay. This provides students with an opportunity to learn the basic hand-built construction processes (and have a lot of fun at the same time!).

Clay for Kids                                                          Age level: 5-9

In this class, we will use oven-bake clay to learn a variety of hand-built construction techniques, including modeling, pinch pots, coiling and more! We will create with clay on Monday and finish our pieces with acrylic paint on Friday. Feel free to bring a snack and drink to class.

Dates: June 18 and 22                               Time: 9 a.m. – noon

Instructor: Maggie Capettini Poplawski

Fee: $60 (plus $15/supplies payable to instructor at class)
