Lemont Center for the Arts

To enrich the cultural landscape of Lemont by fostering the production and appreciation of the arts.

Lemont Center for the Arts (LCA) is the headquarters for the Art & Culture Commission of Lemont (A&CC),  a commission of the Village of Lemont. The mission of the Arts & Culture Commission of Lemont is to enrich the lives of Lemont’s residents and visitors by fostering the production of and appreciation for the arts.

In September of 2010, we opened our doors at the Lemont Center for the Arts. Since opening, we have hosted seven art exhibits and offered a wide selection of classes on an ongoing basis to a variety of ages. The LCA also provides arts opportunities to residents and visitors in the form of exhibits showcasing art by local professional artists & community members, classes taught by professional artists, and special free events celebrating a variety of fine arts expressions.

The Arts & Culture Commission (A&CC) of Lemont was established in October 2004. Since then, the A&CC has actively provided artistic outlets and learning opportunities for community members in a variety of ways. Community members have come together at local celebrations, such as Heritage Fest, to enjoy hands-on arts activities. A&CC events including “Painting Jams” and “Umbrellas for Peace” have given community members the opportunity to learn about art and the creative process.
